General Information
Department of Measurement, Assessment, and Evaluation in Education was established under the umbrella of Department of Educational Sciences at College of Education at Siirt University in 2007. Educational Measurement, Assessment and Evaluation course is offered by the department in both undergraduate and pedagogical formation programs. Students who take this course learn about methods for developing and evaluating measurement instruments used in educational measurement and assessment. Methods for Scientific Research course is offered in both undergraduate and graduate levels by the department. Students who take this course learn about designing experimental, quasi-experimental, and non-experimental educational research and they gain the training needed to design research projects that maximize the interpretability, or validity, of the results. Last but not least, educational statistics course is offered at graduate level. Students who took this course analyze social science data using a variety of statistical methods including analysis of variance, multiple regression, multilevel modeling and structural equation modeling.
